According to Urumqi Customs statistics, from January to May 2011, the export value of Xinjiang’s textile yarns, fabrics and products was 1.783 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 41.71%; the export value of clothing and clothing accessories was 14.929 billion yuan yuan, a year-on-year increase of 83.49%.
From January to May 2011, the import value of Xinjiang textile yarns, fabrics and products was 27 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 78.40%; the import value of clothing and clothing accessories was 0.00 billion yuan , a year-on-year decrease of 96.11%. </p
