According to data from the Turkish Statistics Bureau and the Ministry of Trade, Turkey’s garment export value from January to May 2011 was US$8.018 billion, an increase of 17.9% from US$6.801 billion in the same period in 2021.
By type of garments, the export value of knitted garments and apparel accessories (HS Chapter 61) from January to May 2011 was US$4.428 billion, 3.862 billion US dollars higher than the same period last year. billion US dollars, an increase of 14.7%; the export value of non-knitted garments and apparel accessories (HS Chapter 62) was 3.590 billion yuan, an increase of 11.2% compared with 2.939 billion yuan in the same period last year.
In January-May 2011, the import value of Turkish cotton, cotton yarn and cotton cloth (HS Chapter 52) surged by 63.9%, reaching US$1.123 billion, exceeding the same period of the previous year of US$1.356 billion.
The total export value of Turkey’s knitted garments and apparel accessories (HS Chapter 61) and non-knitted garments and apparel accessories (HS Chapter 62) in 2021 is 18.294 billion Dollar. </p
