On October 19, 2011, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2011/3, making the first safeguard measure sunset review final for imported nylon (or other polyamide) yarns. It is recommended that the products involved in the case continue to be levied a safeguard tax for three years starting from December 21, 2011. The tax amount is detailed in the table below. The implementation of the measures shall be subject to the issuance of Turkish Presidential Decree.
On December 30, 2018, Turkey launched a safeguard measure investigation into imported nylon (or other polyamide) yarn. According to the Turkish Presidential Decree, Turkey officially implemented a three-year safeguard measure on imported nylon yarn on October 21, 2019. On January 26, 2011, the Turkish Ministry of Trade issued Announcement No. 2011/1, in response to the application of Turkish domestic manufacturers, to launch the first sunset review investigation of imported nylon yarns. The products involved include drafted textured yarn, fully drafted yarn, etc. Drawn yarns, partially oriented polyester yarns and other yarns made of nylon (or other polyamides).
