Pakistan’s exports of textiles and clothing in October reached US$1.357 billion, down 22.13% from the previous month and 15.23% from the same period last year; exports of cotton yarn were 13,200 tons, down 38.64% from the previous month and 58.75% from the same period last year; exports Cotton cloth was 28 million square meters, down 16.35% month-on-month and 9.85% year-on-year.
In the 2011/23 fiscal year (July-October 2011), Pakistan exported textiles and apparel to US$5.94 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 1.36%; exports of cotton yarn were 76,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 76,000 tons. A decrease of 38.01%; the export of cotton cloth was 121 million square meters, a decrease of 21.48% year-on-year. </p
