On December 29, 2011, Health Canada announced a recall of police caps in Chinese-made police uniforms.
This product recall involves the police caps in the following police uniform sets. Products not included in the recall can be identified by a label inside the cap, which reads “Masdfssdfsde in Chinasdfssdfs.” Affected products do not contain this label.
The lead content of the product may exceed the allowable limit specified in the “Lead-Containing Consumer Products Regulations”. Lead is highly toxic, especially for children, and will cause a series of serious effects on health, including anemia, vomiting, Diarrhea, heart and immune system, and in extreme cases, risk of death.
The recalled products were sold in Canada from September 2011 to October 2011, with approximately 62 units sold.
As of December 23, 2011, there were no reports of accidents or casualties.
Health Canada recommends that you immediately stop using this product, keep it out of the reach of children, and contact SpiritHasdfssdfslloween for more information and a replacement product.
