Foreign news on June 5th showed that with the increase in buying activities in the market, the cotton yarn trade sentiment in northern India has improved slightly. On the other hand, spinning mills reduce sales to maintain yarn prices. The price of cotton yarn in Delhi market has increased by US$3-5 per kilogram. Meanwhile, cotton yarn prices are stable in Ludhiana market. Trade sources revealed that the recent surge in cotton prices has led to higher demand for yarn exports from China, which is having a positive impact on the market.

The price of cotton yarn in the Delhi market increased by US$3-5 per kilogram, of which the price of combed yarn increased while the price of carded yarn remained stable. A trader in the Delhi market said: “The market has noticed an increase in buying, which supports yarn prices. China’s cotton prices have risen sharply, driving demand for yarn in the domestic textile industry.”

30 count combed yarn is trading at 265-270 rupees per kg (plus GST), 40 count combed yarn is 290-295 rupees per kg, 30 count carded yarn is 237-242 rupees per kg Rs. 267-270 per kg for 40 count carded yarn.

Cotton yarn prices are stable in Ludhiana market as market sentiment improves. Textile mills are not selling yarn at lower prices, indicating that they intend to maintain price levels. A major textile mill in Punjab did keep cotton yarn prices stable.

A trader in the Ludhiana market said: “Spinning mills are suppressing sales in order to maintain prices. They are unwilling to attract buyers with lower prices.” According to the prices observed, 30 count combed yarn is selling at Rs 262-272 per kg (including GST). The transaction price of 20-count and 25-count combed yarn is 252-257 rupees and 257-262 rupees per kilogram. The price of 30 count carded yarn is 242-252 rupees per kilogram.

In the Panipat recycled yarn market, the price of combed cotton yarn increased by 5-6 rupees to 130-132 rupees per kg. In the past few days, combed prices have increased by Rs 10-12 per kg from a low of Rs 120 per kg. The reason for the price increase can be attributed to limited supply and rising cotton prices. Despite these changes, recycled yarn prices have remained stable without significant fluctuations. Demand in the downstream industries of India’s home textile center has also remained basically sluggish.

In Panipat, 10-count recycled PC yarn (grey) is trading at Rs 80-85 per kg (excluding GST), 10-count recycled PC yarn (black) is 50-55 rupees per kilogram, 20-count recycled PC yarn (gray) is 95-100 rupees per kilogram, and 30-count recycled PC yarn (gray) is 140-145 rupees per kilogram. Combed prices fell by Rs 10 per kg last week and today are priced at Rs 130-132 per kg. The price of recycled polyester fiber is Rs 68-70 per kg.

As the global market rises, cotton prices in northern India are also on an upward trend. The price has increased by Rs 25-50 per 35.2 kg. Traders pointed out that although the arrival of cotton was quite limited, there was a slight increase in buying orders from textile mills. Positive market sentiment is driven by strong demand from downstream industries. The arrival volume of cotton is estimated to be 2800-2900 bales (170 kg per bale). Cotton is priced at Rs 5,875-5,975 per 35.2 kg in Punjab, Rs 5,775-5,875 per 35.2 kg in Haryana, Rs 6,125-6,115 per 35.2 kg in Upper Rajasthan, and Rs 55,600-57,600 per 356 kg in Lower Rajasthan. </p
