Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports in August reached US$1.455 billion, an increase of 10.95% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 7.6%; exports of cotton yarn were 38,700 tons, an increase of 11.91% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 67.61%; exports Cotton cloth was 319 million tons, an increase of 15.05% month-on-month and 5.43% year-on-year.
In the 2023/24 fiscal year (July-August 2023), Pakistan’s textile and apparel exports reached US$2.767 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 9.46%; it exported 73,300 tons of cotton yarn, A year-on-year increase of 77.5%; exports of cotton cloth were 59,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.04%. </p
