On October 3, 2023, Health Canada announced a recall of Chinese-made hoodies.

The product involved is a tan hoodie with “HUF” printed on the chest. The specific recalled product information is as follows:

After random inspections, Health Canada believes that the drawstrings on the product may get stuck on playground equipment, fences or other objects, resulting in strangulation or being dragged by vehicles.

The recalled products were sold from November 2022 to September 2023, with approximately 100 units sold.

As of September 26, 2023, no accidents or casualties have been reported.

Health Canada recommends that you stop using this product immediately and remove the drawstring or return the product immediately for a full refund.
