On September 29, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement to make a final anti-dumping ruling on viscose filament yarn (ViscoseRayon Filament Yarn, VFY) originating in or imported from China. It is recommended to impose a five-year anti-dumping tax on the Chinese products involved, with a tax rate of CIF 5.48-20.87%. See the attached table for tax details. The products involved include dyed yarns and undyed yarns as well as viscose filament yarns produced through centrifugal spinning (PSY) and continuous spinning (CSY) processes, involving products under Indian code 5403. Viscose filament yarn produced through the spool spinning (SSY) process and ready-to-use small spool embroidery thread for embroidery machines under Indian Customs Code 5401 are not subject to the anti-dumping measures in this case.
On September 30, 2022, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement stating that in response to an application submitted by the Indian domestic enterprise Grasim Industries Limited and the Association of Man-Made Fibre Industry of India, An anti-dumping investigation has been initiated against viscose filament yarn originating in or imported from China. The Indian customs codes of the products involved are 54031000, 54031090, 54033100, 54033200, 54034110, 54034120, 54034130, 54034150, 54034170, and 54034190.
