On November 1, 2023, the WTO Safeguards Committee released the safeguard notification submitted to it by the Indonesian delegation on October 31. On October 27, 2023, at the request of Indonesian domestic manufacturers, the Indonesian Safeguards Committee (KPPI) launched a safeguard investigation into imported artificial filament yarn (Artificial Filament Yarn). The Indonesian tax numbers of the products involved are 5403.10.00, 5403.31.10, 5403.31.90, 5403.32.90, and 5403.41.90.
Stakeholders should register their response in electronic and paper versions within 15 days from the date of filing the case. The hearing is expected to be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm (GMT+7). Sign-in for the hearing on that day will begin at 9:00 am (GMT+7). Interested parties should register in November 2023 Submit a written hearing application, case comments and evidence materials before the 24th.
