On November 1, 2023, the WTO Safeguards Committee released the safeguard notification submitted to it by the Indonesian delegation on October 31. On October 27, 2023, at the request of Indonesian domestic manufacturers, the Indonesian Safeguards Committee (KPPI) launched a safeguard investigation into imported artificial filament woven fabrics (Woven Fabrics of Artificial Filament Yarn). The Indonesian tax numbers of the products involved are 5408.21.00, 5408.31.00, and 5408.33.00.
Stakeholders should register their response in electronic and paper versions within 15 days from the date of filing the case. The hearing is expected to be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 am (GMT+7). Sign-in for the hearing on that day will begin at 9:00 am (GMT+7).
