According to the website of the President of Uzbekistan on February 15, Mirziyoyev arrived in the Andijan region for inspection and visited the Zhaoxia Textile Industrial Cluster.
The cluster has a total investment of US$83 million and has built a complete production chain from raw materials to finished products. Since it was put into operation in August 2022, the total output value of the project has reached 102 million U.S. dollars, and the annual export volume has been 50 million U.S. dollars. The textile factory equipment mainly comes from Switzerland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Japan, with an annual output of 11,000 tons of yarn, 8,000 tons of terry and knitted fabrics, 12,000 tons of yarn and fabric dyeing, and 6,000 tons of finished knitwear and towels. Provide 3,200 jobs.
The cotton planting area in the Urugnor and Jalakuduk regions of Andijan and the Yanbizhal region of Khwarezm reaches 11,002 hectares, of which 2,700 hectares use drip irrigation Way. In the next few years, the Zhaoxia Textile Industry Cluster plans to build a cotton fiber factory with an annual processing capacity of 70,000 tons and a knitwear and socks production enterprise in Uruguno, creating more than 1,600 new jobs, reducing production costs by 15%, and adding value will increase by 65% and exports will reach US$800 million. A training school for designers and technicians will also be set up. </p
