Pineapple fiber is pineapple leaf fiber, also known as pineapple hemp. It is a fiber extracted from pineapple leaves and belongs to the leaf hemp fiber. Pineapple fiber is composed of many fiber bundles tightly combined, and each fiber bundle is composed of a collection of 10 to 20 single fiber cells. The fiber surface is rough, with longitudinal gaps and holes, transverse branches, and no natural distortion. Single fiber cells are cylindrical, with pointed ends, smooth surface, and a linear cavity. Pineapple fiber looks white, is soft and smooth, and feels like silk, so it is also called pineapple silk. After deep processing, pineapple fiber has a white appearance, soft and smooth appearance, and can be blended with natural fibers or synthetic fibers. The fabrics woven are easy to print and dye, absorb sweat, are breathable, stiff and wrinkle-free, and are comfortable to wear.
Pineapple leaves are not discarded directly after picking, but are recycled and their fibers are extracted to produce more than 20 products such as socks, underwear, towels, pajamas, and mats. It is understood that pineapple leaf fiber is green and environmentally friendly and 100% biodegradable. It has the characteristics of natural sterilization and odor removal, mite repellent, moisture absorption and breathability.
