For example, the Hawassa Industrial Park has a daily output of 10,000 masks and plans to increase the daily output in the near future. Production volume reaches 50,000 pieces. The Ethiopian government has mobilized 67 textile companies to launch mass production mask production lines recently, hoping to meet local mask demand and enable export.
The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ethiopia has increased rapidly in recent days, and the government has taken strong measures to require people to wear masks when traveling. At the same time, the Ethiopian Ministry of Health stated that the demand for medical masks in Ethiopian medical institutions will reach 130 million in the next four months.
