On December 1, 2020, the Committee on Dumping, Subsidies and Non-tariff Trade Barriers of the National Institute for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection of Peru published Article 146 in the official daily newspaper ElPeruasdfssdfsno – Announcement No. 2020/CDB-INDECOPI decided to initiate safeguard measures investigation procedures for clothing products (Spanish: confecciones) with a total of 284 tax code sub-items under Chapter 61, Chapter 62, and Chapter 63 of the Customs Tariff, in order to Determine whether to take safeguard measures for this type of imported goods. The investigation period of this case is from January 2016 to June 2020. The investigation process starts from the date of this announcement, and the maximum period is 6 months (from the next day of the announcement).
