According to a report by Icelandic National Television on December 9, Icelandic sweater exports have increased by 70% since the COVID-19 pandemic, mainly due to Finland’s enthusiasm for Icelandic traditional sweaters.
One of Iceland’s largest wool producers has hired new staff to work overtime knitting sweaters, hoping to fill hundreds of tons of extra orders next year.
Reports say that traditional Icelandic hand-knitted sweaters are becoming popular in Finland this year, and the sweaters are often sold out. Norway, Sweden, and Germany also have the same trend. </p
