Vietnam exported 183,100 tons of yarn in October 2020, an increase of 9.7% month-on-month and 16.1% year-on-year. In the first three months of this year, Vietnam exported more than 500,000 tons of yarn, and exported 450,000 tons in the same period last year. Yarn exports that month mainly went to China (54.7%), South Korea (6.4%), the United States (4.5%), and Pakistan (3.8%). The yarn exports of foreign-funded enterprises accounted for 65% of the total exports that month.
Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports in October 2020 were US$2.561 billion, a decrease of 22.18% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 4.69%.
In October 2020, Vietnam imported 94,300 tons of cotton, a decrease of 13.29% from the previous month, and a decrease of 12.09% from the same period last year; it imported 91,300 tons of yarn, an increase of 1.72% from the previous month, and a decrease of 12.09% from the same period last year. A decrease of 1.36%; imported fabrics were US$2.204 billion, an increase of 12.37% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 9.51%. </p
