Ukrainian New Era News Agency reported on December 18 that the government approved an amendment to tariffs to unify the import tax rate for light industrial products. The Ministry of Finance pointed out that the bill provides for the modification of the import tariff rate of light industrial products to speed up customs clearance and promote the development of light industry. The approved bill stipulates:
——The import tariff rate for raw materials not produced in Ukraine: yarn, fiber, and thread is determined to be a preferential rate of 0%;
——The import tariff rate for finished products of fabrics, felts, felts, woven nets, strings and ropes is determined to be a preferential rate of 1-8%;
——Raise the import tariff rate for light industrial product subcategories with a tax rate lower than 10% to 10%.
The Ministry of Finance believes that this approach will help simplify foreign economic activities and promote the development of Ukrainian light industry in the near future. </p
