“VNA” reported on December 23 that a representative of the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade stated that following the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Notice No. 14-572, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade has once again Received a notice from the Committee that Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports are about to exceed the prescribed level and may be subject to trade defense measures.
Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade revealed that from January 2020 to July 2020, Vietnam exported skirts and women’s clothing (HS codes 6104.41, 6104.42, 6104.43 to EAEU , 6104.44, 6104.49, 6204.42, 6204.44, 6204.49) has reached 79.4% of the stipulated level in 2020.
According to Article 2.10 of VN-EAEUFTA, Vietnamese textiles and clothing exceeding the specified quantity will be subject to ordinary import preferential tax rates within 6 or 9 months. </p
