“Voice of Vietnam Electronic News” reported on December 2 that Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports are expected to be approximately US$35 billion in 2020, US$3 billion less than in 2019, equivalent to a year-on-year decrease of 7% . The Vietnam Textile Association predicts that Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports will reach US$37-38 billion in 2021, but this can only be achieved after the global epidemic is under control in the first quarter of 2021. In addition, free trade agreements such as EVFTA and RCEP signed by Vietnam will also become the driving force for Vietnam to solve the shortage of raw and auxiliary materials in the textile and apparel industry.
