The Myanmar Times reported that Myanmar is about to sign an agreement with the Netherlands to export local traditional textile specialty products to the European market. Khun Aye Nasdfsing, Director of the Bureau of Industry, said that the Myanmar Ministry of Commerce and the EU National Import Center for Development will sign the agreement in the near future to help Myanmar cotton clothing, accessories and household products export to the European market. Director K said at a small online meeting that Myanmar needs to prepare and pursue high-quality and high-value-added products instead of cheap products. The international market has a demand not only for traditional clothing, but also for its traditional accessories. Therefore, Myanmar needs to produce high-quality home textiles and decorative items.
SasdfssdfsungDasdfssdfsr school organization operates 14 basic and advanced textile schools in rural areas of Myanmar. The textile schools preserve traditional weaving techniques and teach these traditional techniques to students. Director K said that although Myanmar needs to rely on creating business and employment opportunities, Myanmar still imports a large amount of ready-made garments from neighboring countries. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to pass on traditional skills to the younger generation. The government will continue to organize relevant vocational training courses and encourage the development of enterprises and traditional textile industries. </p
