Cambodia has approved three new garment factory investment projects with a total investment of approximately US$16.6 million and is expected to create nearly 2,500 jobs.

These investment projects include: HCGlobasdfssdfslTextile Co., Ltd., NewErasdfssdfs(Casdfssdfsmbodiasdfssdfs)CasdfssdfsshmereTextile Co., Ltd., Brightness(Casdfssdfsmbodiasdfssdfs)GasdfssdfsrmentFasdfs sdfscory Co., Ltd. has obtained the approval from the Development Council of Cambodia in January this year (CDC) approved.

HC Globas Textile Co., Ltd. will set up a garment factory in Taskeo Province with an investment of US$7.8 million. It is expected to create 843 jobs after it is put into operation.

NewErasdfssdfsCasdfssdfsshmere Co., Ltd. will set up a garment factory in Kasdfssdfsndasdfssdfsl with an investment of US$5.7 million and is expected to create 951 jobs.

BrightnessGasdfssdfsrmentFasdfssdfsctory Co., Ltd. will build a garment factory in Taskeo Province with an investment of US$3.1 million. It is expected to create 702 jobs after it is put into operation.

Like other garment-producing countries, Cambodia has also suffered from canceled or delayed orders due to the COVID-19 epidemic. In August last year, some of the tax-free concessions that were originally available for imports to the EU were withdrawn, causing some of Cambodia’s more commonly exported products, including clothing, footwear, and travel supplies, to be subject to the most-favored nation (MFN) tax rate by the EU. </p
