On May 26, 2021, the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s down jackets.
The recalled product is Arizona’sJeasdfssdfsnCo. “LilasdfssdfscSmoke” girls’ down jacket. Clothing sizes are 4-16 (XXS-XL). The product batch number 302-0113, date code 08/20, and registration number 93677 are printed on the service label.
The drawstring of this product may become entangled or stuck on playground equipment, fences, vehicles or other objects, posing a suffocation hazard to children.
The recalled products were sold on various websites in the United States from December 2020 to April 2021. About 3,700 pieces were sold, priced at about US$94.
So far, no accidents or casualties have been reported.
The U.S. Consumer Safety Commission (CPSC) recommends that consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact JCPenney to return it for a refund.
