In May 2021, Vietnam exported textile and clothing to US$2.574 billion, a month-on-month increase of 4.68%, and a year-on-year increase of 37.87%; exported yarn was 167,100 tons, a month-on-month increase of 2.04%, a year-on-year increase of 68.22% ; Cotton imports were 158,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 9.88%; yarn imports were 93,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 9.12%; fabric imports were US$1.506 billion, a month-on-month increase of 6.70%.
From January to May 2021, Vietnam exported textiles and clothing to US$11.131 billion, a year-on-year increase of 15.2%; exported yarn was 814,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 35.80%. </p
