India exports 10,000 tons of cotton yarn

In June, India exported 228,800 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), a month-on-month increase of 17.51% and a year-on-year increase of 23.88%, the highest single-month value since 2019. In the fiscal year 2020/21 (August-June), India exported 1.0173 million tons of cotton yarn, a year-on-year increase of 23%, which was the same as 2018/19. China and Bangladesh are still India’s largest cotton yarn exporters, accounting for 52% of the total. Each accounts for 26%. </p
