On January 19, 2011, Health Canada announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s rainproof jackets.
The recalled product is KidORCAHasdfssdfsrdShell rainproof jacket. The outer layer of the product is waterproof, available in 5 colors including navy blue, with waterproof zippers, fleece lining, adjustable hood, etc., in sizes 3-10.
The product’s drawstring may get stuck on playground equipment, fences, cars and other objects, causing children to be entangled or dragged.
The product was sold in Canada from December to February 2021, with approximately 72 units sold.
As of January 18, 2011, no reports of accidents or casualties have been received.
Health Canada advises consumers to remove the drawstring immediately to eliminate the risk.
