In June 2011, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports reached 3.586 billion US dollars, a month-on-month increase of 13.22%, a year-on-year increase of 17.03%; the exported yarn was 131,200 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 3.86%, a year-on-year decrease of 23.65% %. Imported yarn was 91,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 10.75%, and a year-on-year decrease of 1.67%; imported fabrics were US$1.302 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 18.38%, a year-on-year decrease of 6.11%.
From January to June 2011, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports reached US$18.591 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27.16%; the exported yarn was 854,700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.76%. Imported yarn was 551,900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.16%; imported fabric was US$7.947 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.91%. </p
