The Togo Republic Portal reported on October 5 that the Togo Clothing Company (TCC), founded by an Indian manufacturer, recently announced that the “Made in Togo” ready-made garments in the PIA Industrial Park will be Commercialization will be achieved in January 2023.
“Made in Togo” garments were initially sold mainly to the domestic and sub-regional markets. However, Togo enjoys preferential tariffs such as the United States’ African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), the European Union’s Everything But Arms (EBA) agreement, and China’s zero tariff on 98% of products exported to China from Togo and other least developed countries. Policy, Togo also joined the Commonwealth this year, and the manufacturer hopes to seize the opportunity to develop markets in Europe, Asia, and the United States. </p
