According to the latest statistics, in September 2011, Vietnam’s textile and clothing exports reached 2.725 billion US dollars, a month-on-month decrease of 31.91%, a year-on-year increase of 19.65%; the export of yarn was 225,900 tons, a month-on-month decrease 6.94%, a year-on-year decrease of 20.01%; imported yarn was 74,800 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 16.52%, a year-on-year increase of 23.33%; imported fabrics were US$2.230 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 6.21%, a year-on-year increase of 14.12%.
From January to September 2011, Vietnam’s textile and apparel exports reached US$29.001 billion, a year-on-year increase of 27.92%; exported yarn was 1.2053 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 15.36%; imported yarn 807,500 tons of threads, a year-on-year increase of 2.68%; imported fabrics were US$22.428 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.03%. </p
