On January 19, 2023, the US CPSC announced a recall of Chinese-made children’s pajamas.
The recalled product is children’s button-type long-sleeved one-piece pajamas of the NewCosplay brand of MiasdfssdfsnzhuYeXin Trading Co., Ltd. The product is made of 100% polyester and is sold in sizes 4T to 10 years old, in yellow chicken, white chicken, raccoon, koala, giraffe, cow, panda, purple unicorn, rainbow yellow unicorn, pink Character styles such as Unicorn, Blue Unicorn and Star Unicorn. Fiber content and washing instructions are printed on the side seam tags, and the neck sewn tag shows the garment’s size and the words “NEWCOSPLAY.”
The product does not meet the flammability standards for children’s pajamas and may cause burns to children.
The recalled products were sold in the United States from December 2021 to May 2011. About 780 pieces were sold, priced at about US$17-26.
So far, no accidents or casualties have been reported.
CPSC recommends that use of this product should be stopped immediately and contact MiasdfssdfsnzhuYeXin Trading Co., Ltd. for a full refund.
