On February 6, 2023, the Committee on Dumping, Subsidies and Non-tariff Trade Barriers of the National Institute for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection of Peru issued Article 006 in the official daily newspaper “ElPeruasdfssdfsno” Announcement No. -2023/CDB-INDECOPI stated that a positive final anti-dumping ruling was made on 100% polyester fiber fabrics originating in China, and it was decided to impose an anti-dumping tax of US$3.55/kg on the products involved. The products involved are less than 1.8 meters wide, with a unit weight between 80 g/m2 and 200 g/m2, with a polyester short fiber content of greater than or equal to 85% by weight, and 100% dyed in natural, white or solid colors. Plain polyester fiber fabrics, involving products under Peruvian tax numbers 5512.22.00.00 and 5512.19.00.00. The measures will take effect from the day after the announcement is issued and will be valid for 5 years.
On January 26, 2011, the Committee on Dumping, Subsidies and Non-tariff Trade Barriers of the National Institute for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection of Peru issued No. 007-2011/CDB-INDECOPI Announcement, in response to the application of Peruvian company Tecnologías Textil S.A., an anti-dumping investigation was launched against 100% polyester fiber fabrics originating in China. On August 25, 2011, Peru made an affirmative preliminary ruling on the case, and the preliminary ruling imposed a temporary anti-dumping duty of US$3.93/kg on the products involved, which is valid for 6 months.
