In August 2022/23, India exported 116,000 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), an increase of 11.43% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 256.86%, maintaining exports for the fourth consecutive month. The month-on-month volume trend is positive, and the export volume is the largest single-month export volume since January 2022.
In 2023/24 (August), the main exporting countries and export volume proportions of Indian cotton yarn are as follows: 43,900 tons were exported to China, a year-on-year increase of 4548.89% (the same period last year Only 0.09 million tons), accounting for 37.88%; exports to Bangladesh were 30,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 129.14% (13,200 tons in the same period last year), accounting for 26.04%. </p
