On February 1, 2024, the US CPSC announced a recall of Chinese-made girls’ pajamas.

The recalled product is Stripe&Stare children’s pajamas. The product is made from a blend of 95% modal and 5% spandex, with long sleeves and ruffled collar, wrists and hem. Available in children’s sizes 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10 years old, MorningBlissPink print. “Stripe&Stare” and size name printed on neck tag. The inseam label is printed with “95% modal and 5% spandex” and care instructions.

The product does not meet the requirements of the federal flammability regulations for children’s pajamas and poses a burn hazard.

The recalled products were sold from February 2021 to January 2023. About 250 pieces were sold, priced at approximately US$80.

So far, there are no reports of accidents or casualties.

CPSC advises consumers to stop using the product immediately and will contact Stripe&Stare for a full refund.
