In December 2023/24, India exported 89,900 tons of cotton yarn (under HS: 5205), an increase of 1.24% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 99.33%.
The main export directions and export volume proportions of Indian cotton yarn in 2023/24 (August-December) are as follows: 213,600 tons were exported to Bangladesh, a year-on-year increase of 200.85% ( 71,100 tons in the same period last year), accounting for 42.87%; exports to China were 103,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1336.11% (only 7,200 tons in the same period last year), accounting for 20.74%. </p
